6.3 Consciousness as an Evolutionary Manifestation of Chaotic Neurodynamics.
From this perspective it is natural to postulate that, far from being an epiphenomenon, consciousness is a feature which has been elaborated and conserved by nervous systems because it has had unique survival value for the organism.

nervous systems .. organism .. to house .. to envelope the bearer .. the fractality agent ..

We are thus led to the examination of how chaotic excitation may have evolved from single-celled animals through the early stages represented by Hydra to the complex nervous systems of metazoa. We have seen how chaotic excitation provides for exploration of phase space and sensitivity to internal and external fluctuations.

However the conservation of consciousness may also involve features expressed only by chaotic systems which are fractal to the quantum level. It is a logical conclusion that the conscious brain has been selected by evolution because its biophysical properties provide access to an additional principle of predictivity not possessed by formal computational systems.

.. computational .. an additional tool .. at the service of the enquiring mind .. adding to the already existing .. theoretical and experimental .. approaches .. computational .. added to them ..

.. computations .. the evolution .. in the thinking mind .. the tool to describe .. mechanisms .. becoming apparent .. by the advent of computers .. representing .. the mechanisms .. the way .. functions .. undergo .. predictivity .. fractal to the quantum level .. the conecting corridors of the fractal hyperstructure .. the consciuous brain .. a conglomerate .. of all agents .. exponential growth of fractal agents .. the links between the agents .. intact .. constantly communicating .. predictivity not possessed by formal computational systems .. computations .. their function .. their limit .. within the phase space of each agent .. at the service of the agent ..

One of the key strategies of survival is anticipation and prediction of events (King 1978, Llints 1987). Computational systems achieve this by a combination of deductive logic and heuristic calculation of contingent probabilities. However quantum non-locality may also provide another avenue for anticipation which might be effective even across the membrane of a single cell, if wave reductions are correlated in a non-local manner in space-time.

.. bifurcations that lead to emergence ... the emergence of new systems .. to create new phase space .. sensitive dependence .. includes non-local .. quantum non-locality .. when quantum non-locality is involved .. bifurcations lead to the creation of new phase space .. along with the creation of its agent .. and via the actions .. πραττειν .. of the agent the attractors of the system

.. the human individual .. and its consciousness .. the end .. or another stage .. in acquiring .. housing .. all living things .. systems created for housing consciousness .. run parallel .. augmenting the fractal hyperstructure .. creating phase spaces

.. anticipation .. even across .. the membrane of a single cell .. a single cell .. housing for consciousness ... anticipation based .. on non-local actions .. consciousness .. knowledge of phase space .. its size proportional to its phase space .. a tool to explore its phase space .. ergodic .. for every literal inch of its phase space .. of all the states the including phase space accomodate .. all potential states .. the human mind has the tools .. to perform such task ..


quantum tunneling .. and mosquitos .. causal link .. blood-sucking need .. vertebrates .. feed for foraging mosquitos .. mosquitos, consciousness, advanced ..
